Search Service Type

WINDOW OVERVIEW:

The Search Service Type window is used to search for a specific Service Type and its related Program Services. The Service icon is located on the N-FOCUS Main Menu.

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:

Number: Enter the unique identification number of the specific service (ID Numbers of Service Types are included in Provider Reports, Service Authorization and Provider Billing Documents).

Service Type Group Box:

Name: Enter the Service Type Long Name. Enter either the full name, or the first few letters of the name.

Short Name: Enter the Service Type Short Name. The short name is an abbreviated version of the long name. Enter either the entire short name, or the first few letters of the name.

Category: Open the drop down list to display a list of categories. Once the category is selected, the system displays a list of all Service Types covered by that category. Narrow the search by choosing both a program and a category.

Program: Open the drop down list to display a list of program types. Once a program is selected, the system displays a list of all Service Types covered by that program. Narrow the search by choosing both a program and a category.

ACTION BUTTONS:

	Select the Search button to search by the criteria specified on the window. If more than one Service Type meets the criteria, the List Service Type window opens. If only one Service Type meets the criteria, the Detail Service Type window opens. If no Service Type meets the criteria, a message "Service Type not found" is displayed.
	Select the New button to open the Detail Service Type window where a new Service Type can be established. Note; Adding a Service Type is a Central Office function.
	Select the Clear button to clear any search information entered. The window remains open and new search information can be entered.
	Select the Cancel button to cancel the search and return to the Main Menu.
	Select the Help button to display windows help.
	Select this button in combination with a program to go to the Search Provider window. Select a program from the Program drop down list to enable the Providers button. Note: The Search Provider window allows a search for and printing of a list of Organizations that have been approved to provide one or more Program Service Types.
