Detail Service Type
WINDOW OVERVIEW:
The Detail Service Type window contains detailed information about a specific Service Type and its related Program Services.
- View an existing Service Type.
- Go to the Detail Program Service window to view a related Program Service.
- Edit an existing Service Type. (Central Office function only)
- Add a new Service Type. (Central Office function only)

FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:
Service: This field displays the long name of the Service Type.
Short Name: The abbreviated version of the Service Type long name. When the long name is less than 25 characters, the long and short name will be the same. If the long name is greater than 25 characters, the short name will be an abbreviation. The short name will usually be displayed on lists or reports.
Category: Every Service Type is part of a Category. For example, the Service Type "Infant Care" is part of the Category "Child Care". When viewing an existing Service Type, the Category will display. To change the Category, open the drop down list and highlight the new category (Changing a Category is a Central Office function only).
FICA Withheld: This checkbox will indicate whether the Service Type is one for which FICA may be withheld. The checkbox will not indicate whether any specific Provider is subject to FICA withholding. See Detail Organization window.
Service Type ID: The unique number assigned to the Service Type by the system.
Date Group Box:
Begin: This field displays the date the Service Type was established. Entry format is MM-DD-YYYY.
End: This field displays the date the Service Type ended. Entry format is MM-DD-YYYY.
Program Service Group Box:
The Program Service Group Box displays information about Program Services related to the Service Type.
Program: This field displays the name of the program that covers the Service Type.
Begin Date: This field displays the date the Program began covering the Service Type
Proposed: This field displays the date the Program expects to stop covering the Service Type.
End Date: This field displays the date the Program actually stopped covering the Service Type.
IV-E: This field indicates whether the Program Service may be funded by IV-E.
MED: This field indicates whether the Program Service is Medicaid eligible.

The List Provider button is enabled when a Program Service is highlighted in the group box. The Search Approved Provider window opens. |

The Program Service Type Detail button is enabled when a Program Service is highlighted in the group box. It opens the Detail Program Service window to view the details about the Program Service. |

The New button is enabled only for Central Office staff. It opens the Detail Program Service window in ADD mode where detail information for a new Program Service is entered. |
