Update Medical Category

  1. Double click the Configuration task on the Navigator window.
  2. Highlight the appropriate benefit month. This should be the first month in which the new Medical Category is effective and for which a budget is being processed.
  3. Select the Medicaid case that needs Medical Categories updated for one or more participants. This will enable the Update MED Category button.
  4. Select the Update MED Category button, the Update Medical Category window opens.
  5. Highlight the first participant that needs a medical category changed.
  6. Double click the Medical Category in the list box. The double click pulls the selected category into the Participant list box and refreshes it for that participant.

    Note: the list of categories is based on the age of the Participant selected: ADC/MN’s, ADC/TMA and AABD/OMB for anyone age 21 and older, AABD/OMB, ADC/TMA and CMAP for anyone age 20 or younger, and ADC/TMA and CMAP for unborns.

  7. The TMA Begin Date enables when a participant is assigned an ADC/TMA Medical Category. Enter the date the TMA case begins.
  8. Select the ‘OK’ or ‘Cancel’ push button.
  9. 'OK’ will enable if all Participants for all Medicaid cases have assigned Medical Categories. This will save the data just entered and return to window #1.
  10. ‘Cancel’ will always be enabled. This will delete any case data just entered
