Expedited Appointment Screening - Expenses
WINDOW OVERVIEW:
The Expedited Appointment Screening - Expenses window is used to enter housing and utility expense information about the person applying for SNAP. The information on this window is used toward the determination as to whether the applicant qualifies for expedited processing.
FIELD DESCRIPTIONS:
Monthly Housing Cost: Enter the person’s monthly housing cost in this field. This would include items such as rent or mortgage payment.
Utility Expenses Group Box:
O None: Select this radio button if the household is not responsible for utility expenses.
or
O Standard Utility Allowance: Select this radio button if the application indicates that the household is billed for a heating or cooling expense.
or
O Limited Utility Allowance: Select this radio button if the application indicates that the household is billed for at least two of the following utilities:
- gas or electricity (other than heating and cooling)
- basic telephone rate
- water
- sewer
- garbage collection
- well and septic tank maintenance
or
O One Utility Allowance: Select this radio button if the application indicated that the household is billed for only one utility other than telephone or a heating or cooling expense.
O Telephone Allowance: Select this radio button if the application indicates that the household is only billed for a telephone expense.
