A dormant account is an account that has not had a debit transaction in the past 90 days. The household will continue to have access to all SNAP benefits remaining in their EBT account.
An Alert will be sent to workers when an EBT account becomes dormant. If the food stamp case is still active and the household has not contacted the worker regarding the nonuse of the account, the worker can then send a Notice of Adverse Action to close the case for the next appropriate month.
