Create and Print an Initial Home Study

  1. On the Detail Organization window, select the Home Details push button.

    Result:  The Home Details window displays.

  2. Select the Actions menu.
  3. Select Create Home Study.
  4. Select Initial.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  5. Enter Date Completed.
  6. Select Purpose from the drop down list.
  7. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #1, in the Applicant(s) List Box.
  8. Select Actions – Select/Clear Applicant 01.

    Result:  The # 1 display next to the selected name.

  9. If appropriate, select (highlight) the name of Applicant #2, in the Applicant(s) List Box.
  10. Select Actions – Select/Clear Applicant 02.

    Result:  The # 2 displays next to the selected name.

  11. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #1.

    Result:  The Applicant Info pushbutton enables.

  12. Select the Applicant Info pushbutton.

    Result:  The Home Study – Applicant Info dialogue box displays.

  13. Enter information as appropriate.

    Note:  References information is required.

  14. Select OK.

    Result:  The Home Study window displays.

  15. Select (highlight) the name of Applicant #2, if applicable.
  16. Repeat Steps 12-14.
  17. If an Approval Status Form is required for anyone in the household, select the name(s) in the Applicant(s) List Box.  You may multi-select.
  18. Select the Approval Status push button or select Details-Approval Status.

    Result:  The Home Study-Approval Status dialogue box displays.

  19. Select the Approval Status Form Required check box.

    Note:

  20. Select Child Spec. Info push button and enter information, if applicable.
  21. Enter Marriage Date, if applicable.
  22. Enter Self Studies Completed date, if applicable.
  23. Enter Completed By information.

    Note:

  24. Select the black, Out Select Arrow icon.

    Result:  Depending on which radio button was selected:

  25. After identifying the appropriate information, the Home Study window will display with the Completed By information entered.

    Note:  If Org is selected, type in the name of the person who actually completed the Home Study.

  26. If Org or Non-System person is identified, select appropriate Credential.
  27. Select the Referral Out Select Arrow icon, if appropriate.

    Result:  The Search Office Position window displays.

  28. Locate the appropriate Referral source.
  29. Enter the Referral Date.
  30. Select the Narrative icon.

    Result:  The Search Narrative dialogue box displays.

  31. Select (highlight) a Subject Area.
  32. Select the New push button.

    Result:  The Detail Narrative window displays.

  33. Enter Narrative text.
  34. Select Save & Next icon to continue entering narratives for each Item of the Subject Area.
  35. When you have completed the Narratives for that Subject Area, select the Save & Close icon.

    Result:  The Search Narrative dialogue box displays.

  36. To complete other Narratives, repeat Steps 31-35.
  37. Select Actions-Print.

    Result:  The Print dialogue box displays.

    Note:  If required narratives have not been previously entered, a dialogue box will      display, listing which Narrative Subject Areas and Items are missing.

    Note:  The Background Checks previously entered will print automatically. If you               want to choose which specific Background Checks print, select the Select Backgrnd Chk  push button and select (highlight) which ones you want to print.

  38. Select the appropriate Print Initial function.

    Note:  You may print an Initial Draft version as often as needed, however, you may print an Initial Final version only once. A copy of the Final version will be placed in the Correspondence area and can be reprinted from there.  Also, once an Initial Final version is created, you cannot create another Initial Home Study for that Organization.

  39. Select OK

    Result:  The Print dialogue box displays.

  40. Select Print.

    Result:  The Home Study prints.
